About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated Water and Wastewater Engineer to join their team in Welkom. This role is essential for the design, development, and management of water supply and sanitation infrastructure projects vital to the Free State province. You will be responsible for ensuring the provision of clean water and effective wastewater treatment solutions, addressing critical environmental and public health needs.

- Design and manage water treatment plants, distribution networks, and wastewater collection and treatment systems.
- Conduct hydraulic modeling and analysis for water and sewer systems.
- Prepare feasibility studies, conceptual designs, and detailed engineering plans and specifications.
- Oversee the construction and commissioning of water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and water quality standards.
- Collaborate with municipal clients, regulatory bodies, and construction teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering with a focus on water/wastewater.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in water and wastewater engineering design and project management.
- Professional registration with ECSA (Pr. Eng or Pr. Tech Eng) is advantageous.
- Proficiency in relevant design software (e.g., EPANET, WaterGEMS, SWMM).
- Understanding of water and wastewater treatment processes and technologies.
- Excellent project management and client liaison skills.
