Civil Engineer - Water and Sanitation Infrastructure

About the Role

Our client is looking for a motivated Civil Engineer specializing in Water and Sanitation Infrastructure to join their team in Bloemfontein. This role is vital for ensuring the provision of safe and reliable water supply and effective wastewater management systems for communities. You will be involved in the full project lifecycle, from initial concept and design to construction supervision and commissioning, contributing directly to public health and environmental sustainability.

This is an on-site position requiring active engagement with project teams and local authorities.

• Design and development of water treatment plants, distribution networks, and sewerage systems.
• Prepare feasibility studies, environmental impact assessments, and detailed engineering designs.
• Manage the construction and implementation phases of water and sanitation projects, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant national and local regulations and standards.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies to achieve project objectives.
• Conduct site investigations and provide technical assistance during construction.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PrEng) registration is required.
• At least 5 years of experience in designing and managing water and sanitation infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in relevant design software (e.g., EPANET, WaterCAD, Civil 3D).
• Strong knowledge of water quality, treatment processes, and pipeline hydraulics.
