Field Operations Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic Field Operations Engineer to join their team supporting upstream operations in the Bloemfontein area. This role involves providing technical support and operational oversight for various field activities, ensuring that production targets are met safely and efficiently. You will troubleshoot operational issues, optimize well performance, and implement new technologies to enhance recovery. This position is key to maintaining and improving the productivity of existing assets within the Oil & Gas sector, contributing to the company's operational success in the Free State .

• Provide on-site technical support for production and drilling operations .
• Monitor well performance, identify potential issues, and implement solutions to optimize production.
• Assist in the planning and execution of workovers, completions, and other field operations.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental standards in field activities.
• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines and field personnel to achieve operational goals.

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• 3-5 years of experience in field operations or production engineering within the Oil & Gas industry .
• Familiarity with well testing, artificial lift systems, and production optimization techniques.
• Strong understanding of HSE regulations and practices in field operations.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
