About the Role
Our client is seeking a specialized Subsea Engineer to contribute to their offshore projects, based in or near Bloemfontein . This role focuses on the design, installation, and maintenance of subsea production systems and equipment. You will work within a highly technical team, collaborating on complex projects that push the boundaries of deepwater exploration and production. Key Responsibilities- Design, analyze, and specify subsea equipment, including christmas trees, manifolds, pipelines, and umbilical systems.
- Develop installation procedures and ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
- Oversee and support subsea construction and commissioning activities, both offshore and onshore.
- Troubleshoot operational issues and provide technical support for subsea production systems.
- Collaborate with project management, engineering disciplines, and suppliers to ensure project success.
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure all designs meet stringent oil and gas industry safety and environmental requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in subsea engineering, with a strong understanding of subsea hardware and operations.
- Proficiency in relevant subsea engineering software and design tools.
- Experience with pipeline design, flow assurance, and structural analysis.
- Knowledge of subsea control systems and hydraulic power units (HPUs).
- Strong project management skills and the ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
