Our client is seeking an enthusiastic Junior Mechanical Engineer to support their operational teams in Bloemfontein . - Assist in the maintenance, repair, and installation of mechanical equipment and systems within the plant.
- Participate in troubleshooting activities to identify and resolve mechanical failures or operational issues.
- Support the implementation of preventative maintenance programs and assist in scheduling maintenance tasks.
- Conduct basic engineering calculations and analyses to support design modifications or equipment upgrades.
- Prepare reports on maintenance activities, equipment performance, and recommendations for improvement.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies in the execution of duties.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering .
- Fundamental understanding of mechanical principles, including statics, dynamics, and materials.
- Familiarity with industrial machinery and maintenance practices.
- Proficiency with basic CAD software for viewing and minor modifications of drawings is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving aptitude and a willingness to learn new technologies.
