About the Role
Our client is recruiting a knowledgeable Senior Well Integrity Engineer to enhance their operations based in Bloemfontein. This role focuses on ensuring the ongoing integrity and safety of all wells throughout their lifecycle, from drilling to decommissioning. You will be responsible for developing and implementing well integrity management systems, conducting risk assessments, and overseeing inspection and testing programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in well construction and integrity assurance within the challenging context of the Oil & Gas sector.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement comprehensive well integrity management strategies and procedures.
- Conduct risk assessments and analyze data to identify potential well integrity failures.
- Oversee the planning and execution of well integrity testing and monitoring programs.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices for well integrity.
- Manage third-party service providers involved in well integrity activities.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance on well integrity issues to project teams and operations.
- Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in well integrity, well construction, or a related field in the Oil & Gas industry.
- Strong knowledge of well components, failure mechanisms, and relevant codes and standards.
- Experience with risk assessment methodologies and integrity management software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
