Senior Mine Surveyor

Our client is looking for a meticulous and experienced Senior Mine Surveyor to join their operational team in Bloemfontein, Free State. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate spatial data of mine workings, ensuring compliance with legal surveys, and supporting mine planning and production activities. You will be responsible for executing high-precision surveys, processing the data, and producing clear, accurate plans and reports.

• Conduct high-precision surveys of underground and surface mining operations using advanced equipment (e.g., total stations, GPS, laser scanners).
• Process survey data and generate accurate mine plans, sections, and 3D models.
• Ensure all survey work complies with legal requirements and mine surveying standards.
• Establish and maintain survey control networks throughout the mining area.
• Collaborate with mine planners, engineers, and geologists to provide spatial data for operational decision-making.
• Train and mentor junior survey staff.

• National Diploma or Degree in Mine Surveying or Geomatics.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Mine Surveyor in underground or open-pit mining.
• Professional registration with the South African Geomatics Council (SAGC) is essential.
• Proficiency with surveying software such as AutoCAD, Surpac, Minex, or similar.
• Experience with various surveying instruments and data processing techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent spatial reasoning abilities.
