Senior HSE Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated Senior HSE Engineer to ensure the highest standards of Health, Safety, and Environmental performance within their operations in Bloemfontein . This role is crucial for developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive HSE programs across the organization. You will conduct risk assessments, audits, and training to foster a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements in the Oil & Gas industry .

This is a vital position contributing to safe and sustainable operations in the Free State province.

• Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and management systems.
• Conduct regular risk assessments , hazard identification, and incident investigations.
• Oversee environmental compliance, including waste management and emissions monitoring.
• Develop and deliver HSE training programs to all levels of employees and contractors.
• Lead and participate in HSE audits and inspections to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in HSE management , preferably within the Oil & Gas sector .
• In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and best practices.
• Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies and incident investigation techniques.
• Excellent communication, reporting, and training skills.
