HVAC Mechanical Engineer

Our client is looking for a specialized HVAC Mechanical Engineer to join their building services team in Bloemfontein. This role focuses on the design, installation, and maintenance of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for various commercial and industrial projects. You will be responsible for ensuring optimal performance, energy efficiency, and occupant comfort through expert system design and oversight. This is a crucial on-site position, contributing directly to the functionality and sustainability of buildings.

• Design and specify HVAC systems, including air handling units, chillers, boilers, and distribution networks.
• Conduct load calculations, energy modeling, and system performance analyses.
• Prepare detailed design documents, specifications, and drawings for HVAC systems.
• Oversee the installation and commissioning of HVAC systems, ensuring compliance with design intent and codes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to HVAC system performance and maintenance.
• Liaise with architects, clients, and contractors to integrate HVAC solutions effectively into building projects.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on HVAC or Building Services.
• 3-5 years of experience in HVAC system design and project execution.
• Proficiency in HVAC design software (e.g., AutoCAD MEP, Revit MEP, HAP).
• Solid understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and psychrometrics.
• Knowledge of relevant building codes and energy efficiency standards.
