Our client, a prominent aviation organization based in Bloemfontein , is looking for a highly qualified Aircraft Electrical Engineer . This role involves the design, development, testing, and certification of aircraft electrical systems and components. You will work on cutting-edge projects, ensuring that all electrical systems meet stringent safety, performance, and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities- Design and develop electrical systems, wiring harnesses, and power distribution units for aircraft applications.
- Perform electrical load analyses, circuit protection calculations, and component selection.
- Conduct testing and validation of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with aerospace standards (e.g., DO-160, MIL-STD).
- Troubleshoot complex electrical issues, providing engineering support for maintenance and repair activities.
- Prepare technical documentation, including design specifications, test procedures, and certification reports.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, systems integration, and flight test teams throughout the product lifecycle.
- Stay current with advancements in aerospace electrical technology and regulations.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in aircraft electrical systems design and development.
- Strong knowledge of aerospace electrical standards, wiring practices, and connector technologies.
- Proficiency with CAD software for electrical design and simulation tools.
- Experience with certification processes for aviation electrical systems.
