Chemical Engineer - Operations Support

Our client is seeking a dedicated Chemical Engineer to provide essential operations support at their facility in Bloemfontein . You will be involved in day-to-day troubleshooting, process monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives. • Provide technical support for chemical processes, addressing operational issues promptly.
• Monitor process parameters and key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure optimal plant operation.
• Assist in the implementation of process modifications and minor capital projects.
• Participate in safety reviews and ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Develop and maintain operational procedures and training materials.
• Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering .
• 2-4 years of experience in an industrial plant operations or process support role.
• Good understanding of chemical engineering principles and unit operations.
• Familiarity with process safety concepts and MOC (Management of Change) procedures.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a plant environment in Bloemfontein .
