Senior Mechanical Project Engineer

Our client is looking for a dynamic Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to manage and execute mechanical engineering projects in Bloemfontein. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and leadership capabilities to deliver projects on time and within budget. You will oversee the entire project lifecycle, from initiation and planning to execution and closure, ensuring that all mechanical aspects meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex mechanical engineering projects.
• Develop project scopes, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
• Coordinate and supervise engineering teams, contractors, and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure all project designs and implementations adhere to relevant engineering standards, codes, and safety regulations.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful outcomes.
• Communicate project status, challenges, and achievements to stakeholders and senior management.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field;
  Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with at least 3 years in a project management or lead engineering role.
• Proven track record of successfully managing multiple engineering projects simultaneously.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
