Junior Chemical Engineer - Plant

Our client is offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated Junior Chemical Engineer to join their plant support team in Bloemfontein. This internship is designed to provide hands-on experience in a real-world chemical manufacturing environment. You will work closely with experienced engineers, assisting in process monitoring, data collection, troubleshooting, and implementing minor process improvements. This role is an excellent stepping stone for recent graduates looking to build a strong foundation in chemical engineering principles and gain practical insights into plant operations.

You will be an integral part of a team dedicated to maintaining and improving the efficiency and safety of our production facilities.

• Assist senior engineers in monitoring plant operations and collecting process data.
• Support troubleshooting efforts for operational issues, including minor equipment adjustments and process checks.
• Participate in process safety reviews and assist in updating safety documentation.
• Conduct basic laboratory tests and analyze results as directed.
• Help in preparing reports on process performance, equipment status, and improvement recommendations.
• Learn and adhere to all safety protocols and operational procedures.

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
• Basic understanding of chemical engineering principles and processes.
