Senior Construction Engineer

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Construction Engineer to provide technical leadership and oversight for major construction projects in Bloemfontein . This role is crucial for ensuring the technical integrity, quality, and safety of construction operations. You will be responsible for reviewing engineering designs, supervising site activities, troubleshooting complex technical challenges, and ensuring compliance with all relevant engineering standards and building codes.

• Provide expert technical guidance and supervision for all construction engineering activities on-site.
• Review and approve engineering drawings, specifications, and construction methods to ensure compliance and feasibility.
• Oversee the implementation of construction plans, monitoring progress and ensuring adherence to technical requirements and quality standards.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve complex engineering problems and technical issues that arise during construction.
• Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, and environmental regulations on the construction site.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure seamless integration of engineering solutions.

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in construction engineering, with a significant focus on project execution and site supervision.
• Proven track record in managing the technical aspects of large-scale construction projects.
• Strong understanding of civil, structural, and mechanical engineering principles relevant to construction.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make critical technical decisions under pressure.
• Proficiency in engineering software and construction management tools.
• Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng) registration with ECSA or equivalent is essential.
