Rotating Equipment Engineer

Our client is seeking an experienced Rotating Equipment Engineer to join their operations in Welkom . This critical role focuses on the reliability, maintenance, and performance optimization of all rotating machinery, including pumps, compressors, turbines, and motors. You will be responsible for implementing best practices in predictive and preventative maintenance, troubleshooting equipment failures, and recommending upgrades to enhance operational efficiency and reduce downtime.

This is an on-site position, requiring active participation in plant operations and maintenance activities within a heavy industrial environment.

• Perform detailed analysis of rotating equipment performance, identifying areas for improvement and potential failures.
• Develop and implement comprehensive predictive maintenance programs using vibration analysis, thermography, and oil analysis.
• Lead root cause analysis investigations for equipment failures and recommend corrective actions.
• Oversee the repair, overhaul, and installation of critical rotating machinery.
• Provide technical expertise and support to maintenance and operations teams.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment performance, maintenance history, and spare parts inventory.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience specifically with rotating equipment in an industrial setting.
• Strong knowledge of various types of pumps, compressors, turbines, and gearboxes.
• Proficiency in vibration analysis and other diagnostic techniques for rotating machinery.
• Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
