Automation Technician; Process Control Systems

You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of robotic systems, PLCs, and SCADA systems, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal operational efficiency. • Install, commission, and maintain automated machinery and control systems, including PLCs, HMIs, and robotics.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical, mechanical, and software issues within automated production lines.
• Perform routine maintenance and calibration of automation equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with engineers to design and implement modifications to existing automation systems.
• Develop and maintain documentation for automation processes, including wiring diagrams and operational manuals.
• Respond promptly to equipment malfunctions and implement timely repairs to minimize production downtime.
• Conduct performance tests and quality assurance checks on automated systems.
• Train production staff on the operation and basic maintenance of automated equipment.
• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to automation and process efficiency.

• National Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience as an Automation Technician or similar role.
• Proven experience with PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and HMI development.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting complex automation systems, including robotics and servo drives.
• Strong understanding of electrical schematics, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Experience with SCADA systems and data acquisition is advantageous.
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Willingness to work shifts or overtime as required by production demands.
