Senior Civil Infrastructure Engineer

Our client, a reputable engineering firm, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Infrastructure Engineer to join their growing team in Bloemfontein . This role is central to the planning, design, and delivery of critical municipal infrastructure projects, including roads, stormwater systems, and water reticulation. You will play a key role in leading project teams, ensuring technical excellence, and managing client relationships.

• Lead the design and development of civil infrastructure projects such as roads, stormwater drainage, water supply, and sanitation systems.
• Prepare detailed design calculations, drawings, specifications, and contract documentation.
• Conduct site investigations and feasibility studies for infrastructure development.
• Manage project execution, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Liaise effectively with clients, municipal authorities, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Review contractor submittals and provide technical support during construction.
• Mentor and supervise junior engineers and technicians.
• Ensure compliance with relevant engineering standards, codes of practice, and environmental regulations.
• Contribute to the preparation of proposals and business development efforts.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• A Master's degree is an advantage.
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration with ECSA is required.
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in civil infrastructure design and project management.
• Proficiency in relevant design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, WaterGEMS).
• Strong knowledge of municipal infrastructure design principles and South African standards.
• Proven experience in project management and contract administration.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks.
• Valid driver's license.
