About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented Narrative Designer to craft compelling stories and dialogue for their upcoming game projects in Bloemfontein . You will be responsible for developing rich narratives, engaging characters, and immersive lore that captivates players and enhances the overall gaming experience. This role requires a deep understanding of storytelling principles, excellent writing skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with game designers and artists.

You will contribute significantly to the emotional depth and player engagement of their titles, working within a creative studio that values imaginative world-building and high-quality narrative experiences.

• Develop and write compelling storylines, character backstories, and dialogue for games.
• Collaborate with designers to integrate narrative elements seamlessly into gameplay mechanics and world design.
• Create narrative design documents, including plot outlines, character profiles, and lore bibles.
• Ensure consistency in tone, voice, and narrative across all aspects of the game.
• Work with voice actors and other team members to bring the narrative to life.

• Proven experience as a Narrative Designer or Writer in the games industry.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with a strong portfolio of narrative work.
• Understanding of narrative structures and techniques in interactive media.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
