About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly organized and creative Event Coordinator to join their team in Welkom . You will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing a variety of events, from corporate functions to social gatherings, ensuring seamless delivery and client satisfaction. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating memorable events that align with the client's vision and objectives in the Free State province.

• Liaise with clients to understand their event requirements, budget, and vision.
• Develop event proposals, timelines, and detailed execution plans.
• Source and manage vendors, including caterers, decorators, and entertainment providers.
• Coordinate event logistics, including venue setup, audiovisual requirements, and staffing.
• Oversee events on the day of execution, ensuring smooth operations and addressing any issues promptly.
• Manage event budgets and provide post-event reports on performance and client feedback.

• Proven experience as an Event Coordinator or in a similar event management role.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask effectively.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Proficiency in event planning software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Creative thinking and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• A degree or certification in Event Management or Hospitality is a plus.
