About the Role

Our client seeks a strategic and experienced Insurance Risk Manager to lead risk management initiatives from their Bloemfontein office. In this critical role, you will identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks across the organization, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and safeguarding the company's assets and reputation. You will work closely with senior management and various departments to foster a strong risk-aware culture throughout the organization.

• Develop and implement comprehensive enterprise-wide risk management strategies and frameworks.
• Identify, assess, and quantify potential financial, operational, and strategic risks.
• Design and oversee internal controls to mitigate identified risks.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations and legal requirements.
• Develop risk management policies, procedures, and training programs.
• Monitor key risk indicators and report on the organization's risk profile to senior leadership.

• Master's degree in Finance, Risk Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in risk management, preferably within the insurance sector.
• In-depth knowledge of risk assessment methodologies, regulatory compliance, and financial modeling.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing risk management frameworks.
• Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
• Professional certifications such as CRM, FRM, or PRM are highly desirable.
