About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Energy Trader to join their team in Bloemfontein . • Monitor and analyze energy market trends, news, and economic factors to identify trading opportunities.
• Execute trades for electricity, natural gas, and other energy commodities according to defined strategies and risk parameters.

• Manage and mitigate trading risks, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain strong relationships with market participants, brokers, and counter parties.
• Provide market insights and reports to senior management and other stakeholders.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• A Master's degree or MBA is a plus.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in energy trading, commodity trading, or financial markets.
• Demonstrated understanding of energy markets, including supply/demand fundamentals, pricing mechanisms, and regulatory frameworks.
