Nursing Supporter

Mondia Health Care requires a Supporter who will be based at our Mondia Woodlands Facility  in Bloemfontein reporting to the Unit Manager.

You will form part of a nursing team that work together with Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Occupational therapists and social workers to combine their efforts efficiently and effectively, and in so doing so achieve consistently good outcomes for patients placed in our care.

• Care Worker certificate
• Relevant clinical experience would be advantageous

• Provide assistance, support and motivation to the patients during their therapeutic journey.
• Support the nursing staff to ensure that the patients receive optimal care in a safe environment.
• Be able to assist the professional staff by performing various care activities and related non-professional services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of the patients.
• Have knowledge of the Patient Rights Charter.
• Basic knowledge of CPR.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Respect, patience and empathy.
• Effective communication skills both verbal and written. Must be able to write clinical notes on behaviour observed.
• Service commitment which maintains a person-centered mind set.
