Junior Network Administrator

About the Role

Our client is looking for a technically inclined Junior Network Administrator to join their IT infrastructure team in Bloemfontein. This on-site role is crucial for maintaining the stability, security, and performance of the company's computer networks. You will gain hands-on experience with network hardware, software, and troubleshooting, working under the mentorship of senior IT professionals. • Install, configure, and maintain network hardware, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues, identifying and resolving problems promptly.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access to network resources.
• Implement and enforce network security policies and procedures.
• Assist in the planning and execution of network upgrades and expansions.

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Fundamental understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
