Crypto Security Analyst

Our client is looking for a vigilant and analytical Crypto Security Analyst to join their team in Bloemfontein . In this critical role, you will be responsible for safeguarding our blockchain assets and infrastructure against a wide range of cyber threats. You will conduct security assessments, monitor for suspicious activities, and develop strategies to mitigate risks in the dynamic cryptocurrency landscape.

This position requires a deep understanding of blockchain technology, security best practices, and threat intelligence. You will work in a hybrid model, collaborating closely with our security and engineering teams to maintain the integrity and trustworthiness of our digital assets and platforms.

• Monitor blockchain networks and systems for security breaches, anomalies, and potential threats.
• Conduct regular security audits and penetration tests on smart contracts, dApps, and blockchain infrastructure.
• Investigate security incidents, analyze root causes, and implement effective containment and remediation strategies.
• Develop and update security policies, procedures, and best practices for blockchain operations.
• Stay informed about the latest security vulnerabilities, attack vectors, and trends in the cryptocurrency and blockchain space.
• Provide security recommendations and guidance to development and operations teams.

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a security analyst, with a specialization in blockchain or cryptocurrency security.
• Strong understanding of blockchain technology, cryptography, and smart contract security.
• Familiarity with security assessment tools and techniques.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and incident response skills.
