Our client is seeking a strategic and experienced Senior Cloud Solutions Architect to lead their cloud strategy in Bloemfontein . This pivotal role involves designing, implementing, and overseeing complex cloud architectures that align with business objectives and technical requirements. You will guide the migration of existing systems to the cloud, ensure security and compliance, and drive innovation in cloud-native solutions. The ideal candidate is a visionary leader with a deep understanding of cloud computing principles, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to architect resilient, scalable, and cost-effective cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities- Design and architect scalable, highly available, and secure cloud solutions on major platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Lead cloud migration strategies and oversee the implementation of cloud-native applications.
- Define cloud governance policies, standards, and best practices.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to development and operations teams.
- Evaluate and recommend new cloud technologies and services to optimize performance and cost.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years focused on cloud architecture and design.
- Deep expertise in at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP), including associated services.
- Proven experience with cloud security, networking, and data storage solutions.
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and serverless computing.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
