Senior E-commerce UX​/UI Designer

Our client, a leading player in the online retail space, is seeking a talented and experienced Senior E-commerce UX/UI Designer to join their team in Bloemfontein, Free State . This role is pivotal in shaping intuitive, engaging, and visually appealing user experiences across our client's e-commerce platforms. You will be responsible for translating user needs and business requirements into elegant design solutions, from initial concept through to final implementation.

• Conduct user research, create user personas, and map user journeys to understand customer needs and pain points.
• Design intuitive and engaging user interfaces for websites and mobile applications, focusing on e-commerce functionality.
• Develop wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes to effectively communicate design concepts.
• Create high-fidelity visual designs, including layouts, typography, color palettes, and iconography.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and marketing teams to ensure design feasibility and alignment with business goals.
• Conduct usability testing and iterate on designs based on user feedback and data analysis.
• Maintain and evolve the company's design system and style guides.
• Stay updated on the latest UX/UI trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in e-commerce design.
• Ensure designs are responsive and provide a seamless experience across all devices.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a UX/UI Designer, with a significant focus on e-commerce platforms.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in user research, wire framing, prototyping, and visual design.
• Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite (XD, Photoshop, Illustrator).
• Solid understanding of user-centered design principles and usability best practices.
• Experience with conducting user research and usability testing.
• Familiarity with front-end development principles (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Must be able to work a hybrid schedule from our offices in Bloemfontein, Free State .
