Senior VoIP & Unified Communications Engineer

• Design, deploy, and maintain VoIP systems, including PBX, call managers, session border controllers (SBCs), and telephony gateways.
• Configure and manage unified communications platforms (e.g., Microsoft Teams Voice, Cisco UC) and associated services like presence, instant messaging, and video conferencing.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure high availability and quality of service.
• Develop and document network configurations, technical standards, and best practices.
• Collaborate with network infrastructure teams to ensure optimal performance and connectivity for UC services.
• Manage vendor relationships and evaluate new technologies and solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and support to junior engineers and support staff.
• Plan and execute system upgrades and migrations with minimal disruption to services.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing VoIP and unified communications systems.
• In-depth knowledge of SIP, RTP, H.323, and other VoIP protocols.
• Experience with major UC platforms such as Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Microsoft Teams Phone System, or Avaya.
• Strong understanding of IP networking, QoS, and security principles relevant to UC environments.
• Experience with SBCs (e.g., Audiocodes, Oracle) and telephony gateways.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP Collaboration, MCSE: Productivity) are a plus.
