The Supply Chain Manager will lead end‑to‑end logistics, procurement, and inventory management for Ceres Fruit Juice’s Bloemfontein hub. This role is pivotal in ensuring that raw materials, packaging, and finished goods move efficiently through the supply chain, supporting production schedules and meeting customer demand. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with growers, transport partners, and internal departments to optimize processes, reduce costs, and enhance service levels.

- Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with corporate goals and market demands.
- Manage relationships with fruit growers, packaging suppliers, and logistics providers to ensure timely and cost‑effective delivery.
- Oversee inventory control, demand forecasting, and production planning to minimize waste and stockouts.
- Lead a cross‑functional team of planners, analysts, and warehouse staff, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as order fulfillment rate, lead time, and cost per unit, and report findings to senior leadership.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, customs requirements, and sustainability standards throughout the supply chain.
- Identify and implement technology solutions, including ERP and warehouse management systems, to enhance visibility and efficiency.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a data‑driven mindset.
- Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in supply chain software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP platforms).
- Leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for internal and external audiences.
- Knowledge of agricultural commodities, especially fruit sourcing and processing.
A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required. Candidates with additional certifications such as CSCP, CPIM, or an MBA will be given preference.
ExperienceApplicants must have 5‑7 years of progressive experience in supply chain or logistics management, preferably within the food and beverage or agribusiness sector. Experience managing complex supplier networks and leading cross‑functional projects is essential.
