Our client is seeking an expert Supply Chain and Logistics Consultant to enhance operational efficiency for businesses in Bloemfontein. You will analyze and redesign supply chain strategies, optimize inventory management, and improve logistics networks to reduce costs and increase delivery performance. This role requires a deep understanding of global supply chain dynamics and best practices. Partnering with clients, you will implement solutions that create resilient, agile, and cost-effective supply chains, driving competitive advantage in today's complex marketplace.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate existing supply chain operations, including procurement, warehousing, inventory management, and distribution.
- Develop and implement strategies for network optimization, transportation management, and demand forecasting.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service levels throughout the supply chain.
- Utilize advanced analytics and modeling tools to forecast demand and manage inventory levels effectively.
- Manage supplier relationships and lead negotiations to secure favorable terms and service agreements.
- Oversee the implementation of supply chain technologies and systems, ensuring seamless integration and adoption.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or consulting.
- Proven experience in supply chain optimization, network design, and inventory management.
- Strong understanding of logistics software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
