Facility Hygiene Manager

Our client is seeking a proactive Facility Hygiene Manager to lead sanitation efforts at their large complex in Bloemfontein . This critical role involves overseeing all aspects of cleaning, hygiene, and waste management to ensure a safe, healthy, and compliant environment. You will manage a team of cleaning staff, develop and implement sanitation strategies, and ensure adherence to rigorous standards. This position requires a leader with a keen eye for detail, strong operational skills, and a commitment to maintaining excellence in facility hygiene.

• Develop, implement, and enforce comprehensive hygiene and sanitation policies and procedures across the facility.
• Manage and lead the day-to-day operations of the cleaning and sanitation team, including scheduling, task assignment, and performance management.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Oversee the procurement, storage, and responsible use of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and equipment.
• Train staff on proper cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and the use of specialized equipment.
• Investigate and resolve any hygiene-related issues or complaints promptly and effectively.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in facility management, sanitation, or environmental health, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• In-depth knowledge of cleaning chemicals, disinfection techniques, and sanitation equipment.
• Strong understanding of occupational health and safety regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in developing and implementing operational plans and training programs.
