Our client is recruiting a results-oriented Logistics Operations Manager to lead their strategic operations based in Bloemfontein . This senior position involves the comprehensive management of all logistics functions, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory control, ensuring maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness. You will be responsible for developing and implementing logistics strategies that align with business objectives, leading a team of logistics professionals, and fostering strong relationships with vendors and clients.
This is a key leadership role for an experienced professional passionate about optimizing supply chains and driving operational excellence within a growing organization.
- Develop and execute comprehensive logistics strategies to support business goals and improve supply chain performance.
- Oversee daily operations of the logistics department, including transportation management, warehouse operations, and inventory control.
- Manage budgets, negotiate contracts with service providers, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of logistics professionals.
- Implement and maintain robust performance metrics and reporting systems to monitor efficiency and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, safety standards, and company policies across all logistics functions.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in logistics and supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a management role.
- Demonstrated expertise in transportation management, warehouse operations, and inventory optimization.
- Strong analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven leadership ability with experience managing diverse teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
