About the Role
Our client is seeking a diligent and motivated Production Supervisor to oversee daily manufacturing operations within their FMCG facility in Bloemfontein . This role is essential for ensuring that production targets are met efficiently, safely, and in compliance with quality standards. You will be responsible for leading and guiding a production team, managing resources, and troubleshooting operational issues to maintain a smooth and productive workflow.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of production processes in the fast-moving consumer goods sector, and a commitment to operational excellence and continuous improvement on the factory floor.
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the production team, ensuring adherence to schedules and production targets.
- Monitor production processes to maintain high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
- Train and mentor production staff, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and performance.
- Implement and enforce safety regulations and company policies on the production floor.
- Identify and address production bottlenecks or issues, implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime and waste.
- High school diploma or equivalent; a relevant technical qualification or tertiary education is advantageous.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a production or supervisory role, preferably within the FMCG industry .
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team of production workers.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and health and safety procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
