Production Line Lead

Our client is looking for a proactive and experienced Production Line Lead to join their manufacturing team in Welkom . In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for supervising a specific production line, ensuring that all activities are carried out efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. You will play a critical role in motivating the line team, troubleshooting operational issues, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a strong operational background to take on more responsibility within a key manufacturing hub in the Free State province.

• Lead and guide a team of production operators on a specific assembly or production line.
• Ensure adherence to production schedules, quality specifications, and safety procedures.
• Monitor line performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to improve throughput and efficiency.
• Conduct on-the-job training for new and existing team members.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of machinery and equipment on the line.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment according to 5S principles.

• Previous experience as a team leader or supervisor on a production line.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and best practices.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead a team.
• Ability to identify and resolve operational issues quickly.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety in the Welkom facility.
