About the Role
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Officer to join their manufacturing operations in Bloemfontein . This on-site role is crucial for maintaining the high standards of quality and safety expected in the FMCG industry. You will be responsible for implementing and monitoring quality control systems, ensuring that all products meet rigorous internal and external specifications. The ideal candidate is meticulous, knowledgeable about QA processes, and committed to upholding product integrity from raw materials to finished goods.
Key Responsibilities- Implement and maintain the company's quality management system (QMS) in accordance with relevant industry standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of production processes, facilities, and finished products to ensure compliance.
- Develop and execute quality control testing procedures for raw materials, in-process samples, and finished goods.
- Investigate quality deviations, customer complaints, and non-conformance issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Maintain accurate quality records and documentation, including inspection reports, test results, and audit findings.
- Train production staff on quality standards and procedures to foster a culture of quality awareness throughout the organization.
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Quality Assurance or Quality Control role within the FMCG sector.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, HACCP, GMP).
- Experience with quality testing methodologies and laboratory equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in documentation and record-keeping.
