Quality Assurance Officer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Officer to join their established quality department in Bloemfontein . This on-site position is crucial for upholding the highest standards of quality and compliance across all manufacturing and operational processes. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS), conducting internal audits, and ensuring adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

This role is vital for ensuring product integrity and patient safety within a structured, facility-based operational setting.

• Develop, implement, and maintain the company's Quality Management System (QMS).
• Conduct internal audits of manufacturing processes, documentation, and facilities to ensure compliance.
• Review and approve batch records, validation protocols, and change controls.
• Investigate deviations, CAPAs (Corrective and Preventive Actions), and customer complaints.
• Ensure all activities comply with GMP and relevant regulatory standards.
• Train personnel on quality procedures and GMP requirements.

• Degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related scientific field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in pharmaceutical Quality Assurance or Quality Control.
• Strong understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and quality systems.
• Experience with audits, deviation management, and change control processes.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities for an office environment.
