About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated Research Scientist with expertise in Cell Biology to join their state-of-the-art laboratory in Bloemfontein . This role focuses on investigating fundamental cellular processes and their implications in disease states. You will be responsible for designing and conducting experiments, meticulously analyzing results, and contributing to the advancement of our client's research pipeline. The ideal candidate is passionate about uncovering cellular mechanisms, possesses strong practical laboratory skills, and thrives in a collaborative, hands-on research environment.
Key Responsibilities- Design, execute, and troubleshoot experiments focused on understanding key aspects of cell biology .
- Utilize a range of techniques including microscopy, cell-based assays, western blotting, and flow cytometry.
- Analyze and interpret experimental data, presenting findings clearly to the research team and management.
- Contribute to the development of new research methodologies and protocols.
- Maintain detailed laboratory notebooks and contribute to scientific reports and publications.
- Ensure adherence to laboratory safety standards and best practices within the Bloemfontein facility.
- Ph.D. or Master's degree in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, or a related life sciences discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of post-graduate research experience with a strong focus on cell biology techniques.
- Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture, transfection, and various biochemical assays.
- Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation, with experience using relevant scientific software.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple experiments concurrently.
