About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Environmental Scientist with a specialization in Climate Research to join their team in Bloemfontein . This hybrid role combines essential fieldwork and laboratory analysis with remote data modeling and report writing. You will contribute to critical research projects focused on understanding and mitigating the impacts of climate change. • Conduct field assessments, collect environmental samples (air, water, soil), and perform related analyses.
• Develop and utilize climate models to predict environmental changes and impacts.

• Prepare comprehensive reports, scientific publications, and presentations for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with government agencies, industry partners, and academic institutions on research initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and contribute to sustainable practices.

• PhD or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Climatology, Atmospheric Science, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in climate modeling, data analysis, and environmental impact assessment.
• Proficiency with relevant software for data analysis and modeling (e.g., R, Python, GIS software).
• Strong understanding of environmental science principles and climate change science.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
• Willingness to undertake field visits and work in a hybrid capacity in the Bloemfontein area.
