Research Scientist - Immunology

Our client is seeking a dedicated Research Scientist specializing in Immunology to join their leading research facility in Bloemfontein . This role involves investigating the complex mechanisms of the immune system and developing novel immunotherapies. You will conduct cutting-edge experiments, analyze data, and contribute to the overall research strategy aimed at treating autoimmune diseases and cancer. The ideal candidate possesses a strong foundation in immunological principles and a passion for translating scientific discoveries into therapeutic applications within the Free State province.

• Design and execute experiments investigating immune cell function, signaling pathways, and immune responses.
• Develop and validate in vitro and ex vivo assays for immunophenotyping and functional assessment.
• Analyze and interpret complex immunological data, including flow cytometry, ELISpot, and cytokine analysis.
• Collaborate with other scientists to explore novel therapeutic targets and strategies for immune-mediated diseases.
• Contribute to the preparation of scientific reports, manuscripts, and presentations.

• Ph.D. in Immunology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of post-doctoral or relevant industry research experience in immunology.
• Proficiency in a range of immunological techniques and assays.
• Strong analytical skills and experience with data interpretation software.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, demonstrated in a laboratory setting in Bloemfontein .
