Postgraduate Research Assistant - Education Policy

Our client is seeking a motivated Postgraduate Research Assistant to support research initiatives focused on Education Policy in Bloemfontein . This role is ideal for an individual pursuing postgraduate studies who wants to gain practical research experience within a dynamic academic setting. You will assist senior researchers in data collection, analysis, and report writing, contributing to significant policy-related projects. This position offers invaluable exposure to the field of education policy research and analysis, working within a supportive and intellectually stimulating environment.

• Assist in literature reviews and the compilation of research findings on various education policy topics.
• Support data collection efforts, including surveys, interviews, and the analysis of existing datasets.
• Help in the preparation of research reports, presentations, and academic papers.
• Manage and organize research documentation and data securely.
• Contribute to the planning and execution of research project timelines.
• Attend research team meetings and contribute to discussions on project progress.

• Currently enrolled in or recently completed a Master's or Doctoral degree in Education, Policy Studies, Sociology, or a related field.
• Demonstrated interest in and understanding of education policy issues.
• Previous experience in academic research, including literature reviews and data analysis, is advantageous.
• Strong quantitative and/or qualitative research skills.
• Proficiency in research software such as SPSS, NVivo, or similar tools is a plus.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and written communication skills.
