Floor Sales Representative

Our client
, a leading supplier of building products based in Bloemfontein
, is looking for a motivated and customer-focused Floor Sales Representative to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting customers on the shop floor, providing expert product advice, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong communication skills, a passion for sales, and an interest in the agricultural and building sector.

• Matric
• Minimum of 3 years' experience within retail sales, preferably in building supplies
• Valid driver's license and own vehicle
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Physically able to assist with stock handling and floor merchandising
• Computer literacy, including point-of-sale systems and basic MS Office
• Basic numeracy skills for handling transactions and stock levels
• MUST be willing to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays

• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Strong communication skills

• Sales and upselling skills to maximize revenue opportunities
• Strong product knowledge or willingness to learn about agricultural and hardware products
• Ability to work under pressure in a busy retail environment
• Basic numeracy and cash-handling skills

• Time management and organizational skills to manage floor tasks efficiently

• Greet and assist customers on the shop floor, providing expert advice on agricultural and building products
• Maintain product knowledge to offer accurate recommendations and solutions
• Process sales transactions efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system
• Ensure the shop floor is clean, organized, and fully stocked at all times
• Assist with receiving, unpacking, and arranging stock on the sales floor
• Support promotions, displays, and merchandising initiatives
• Manage customer inquiries, complaints, and returns professionally
• Collaborate with the team to achieve sales targets and provide a positive customer experience
• Monitor and report stock levels and inventory discrepancies
• Follow company policies and safety regulations at all times

Negotiable, depending on experience

Monday - Friday: 07h30 - 18h00

Saturdays: 07h30 - 15h00

Sundays: 09h00 - 13h00
