Surveillance Technician

This role is vital for safeguarding the premises by monitoring and recording activities that impact the security of staff, contractors, and visitors. If you possess a keen eye for detail, a strong technical background in network infrastructure, and a proactive approach to safety and investigations, this is an excellent opportunity to secure a stable role within a highly regulated environment.

• Install, monitor, and execute repairs on various site surveillance systems.
• Troubleshoot and conduct routine fault-finding inspections on hardware to detect malfunctions.
• Execute physical cable installations and seamlessly connect surveillance devices.
• Verify the daily operational status of all CCTV cameras and promptly elevate any non-conformances.
• Supply accurate footage evidence to assist internal departments with security investigations.
• Uphold strict workplace hygiene, occupational health and safety, and environmental standards.

• A valid National Senior Certificate (Grade 12).
• A minimum of 1 year's working experience operating within a technical environment.
• At least 1 year of practical, hands-on exposure to surveillance installations and network infrastructure.
• A valid South African driver's licence coupled with your own reliable transport.
• A foundational understanding of ISO 22000 and commercial food safety protocols.
• Basic working knowledge of safe stacking procedures and forklift operations.
