Surveillance Technician

A well-established manufacturing enterprise in Bloemfontein to source a vigilant and highly capable Surveillance Technician. This role is vital for safeguarding the premises by monitoring and recording activities that impact the security of staff, contractors, and visitors. If you possess a keen eye for detail, a strong technical background in network infrastructure, and a proactive approach to safety and investigations, this is an excellent opportunity to secure a stable role within a highly regulated environment.

Core Responsibilities:

• Install, monitor, and execute repairs on various site surveillance systems.
• Troubleshoot and conduct routine fault-finding inspections on hardware to detect malfunctions.
• Execute physical cable installations and seamlessly connect surveillance devices.
• Verify the daily operational status of all CCTV cameras and promptly escalate any non-conformances.
• Supply accurate footage evidence to assist internal departments with security investigations.
• Uphold strict workplace hygiene, occupational health and safety, and environmental standards.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• A valid National Senior Certificate (Grade 12).
• A minimum of 1 year's working experience operating within a technical environment.
• At least 1 year of practical, hands-on exposure to surveillance installations and network infrastructure.
• A valid South African driver's licence coupled with your own reliable transport.
• A foundational understanding of ISO 22000 and commercial food safety protocols.
• Basic working knowledge of safe stacking procedures and forklift operations.
