Full Stack Developer - JavaScript​/Node.js & React

Our client, a rapidly expanding technology startup, is seeking a talented and versatile Full Stack Developer to join their innovative team in Bloemfontein, Free State . This role offers the opportunity to work across the entire technology stack, from backend development with Node.js to crafting engaging user interfaces with React. You will be instrumental in building and maintaining scalable web applications, contributing to both new feature development and existing system enhancements.

• Develop and maintain robust backend services using Node.js and Express.js.
• Build responsive and interactive frontend components using React.js.
• Design and implement database schemas and manage data using SQL or No

• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code for both frontend and backend.
• Integrate frontend components with backend APIs.
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving coding standards and best practices.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems.
• Contribute to the overall architecture and technical direction of the application.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in full stack development.
• Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and experience with Node.js for backend development.
• Strong experience with React.js and its ecosystem (e.g., Redux, Hooks).
• Experience with database technologies such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
• Familiarity with RESTful API design principles.
• Understanding of front-end build tools (e.g., Webpack, Babel) and version control systems (Git).
• Good understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Mocha) is a plus.
