About the Role

Our client requires a skilled and responsible Heavy Goods Vehicle Driver for their freight operations based in Bloemfontein. Your primary duty will be to transport goods safely and efficiently between distribution centers and customer sites across the Free State province and beyond. This role demands punctuality, adherence to strict safety protocols, and excellent vehicle handling skills. You will be instrumental in ensuring that our client's supply chain remains robust and reliable, maintaining a high standard of service and professionalism on the road.

• Operate heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects or maintenance needs immediately.
• Load and secure cargo properly to prevent damage or shifting during transit.
• Plan and execute delivery routes to ensure timely arrivals at destinations.
• Maintain accurate driver logs, delivery records, and vehicle maintenance documentation.
• Provide professional customer service during pickup and delivery operations.

• Valid Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) driver's license with an up-to-date Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
• A minimum of 3 years of proven experience driving HGVs.
• An impeccable driving record with no serious infringements.
• Demonstrated knowledge of HGV mechanics and safety procedures.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Good physical condition to handle the demands of the role.
