Local Delivery Driver - FMCG

About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and customer-focused Local Delivery Driver to join their fast-paced Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) distribution team in Welkom. This role is essential for ensuring that our products reach retail outlets and customers efficiently and in excellent condition. You will be responsible for navigating local routes, managing inventory during transit, and providing a positive delivery experience. The ideal candidate is someone who takes pride in their work, has excellent time management skills, and understands the importance of reliability in the FMCG sector, ensuring shelves are stocked and customer needs are met promptly throughout the Free State region.

• Deliver FMCG products to various retail locations and distribution points within designated routes.
• Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and on time, meeting customer expectations.
• Safely load and unload products, handling goods with care to prevent damage.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle.
• Collect payments and proof of delivery, accurately completing all required paperwork.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety protocols.

• Valid Code 10 driver's license with a valid PDP.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in local delivery driving, preferably within the FMCG sector.
• Familiarity with the Welkom and surrounding areas, including effective route planning.
• Good physical stamina for lifting and moving products.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong sense of responsibility.
