About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Logistics Planner to join their team in Bloemfontein . This role is crucial for optimizing the movement of goods, ensuring timely deliveries, and managing transportation resources effectively. You will be responsible for planning and coordinating shipping schedules, managing carrier relationships, and resolving logistical challenges. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a thorough understanding of the Logistics & Warehousing industry, contributing to the efficiency of supply chains in the heart of the Free State, Bloemfontein .

• Plan and schedule daily, weekly, and monthly transportation routes and shipments.
• Negotiate rates and contracts with carriers and logistics providers.
• Monitor shipment progress and proactively address any delays or issues.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations and documentation requirements.
• Collaborate with warehouse teams to coordinate efficient loading and unloading processes.
• Analyze transportation data to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve delivery performance.

• Experience in logistics planning, transportation, or supply chain management.
• Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS) and relevant software.
• Strong understanding of shipping, receiving, and inventory management principles.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• A relevant qualification in Logistics or Supply Chain Management is advantageous.
