About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive Logistics and Fleet Driver to manage deliveries and fleet operations remotely, primarily serving the Welkom region. This role requires an individual with excellent organizational skills and a deep understanding of logistics management, who can effectively coordinate delivery schedules, manage a fleet of vehicles, and ensure operational efficiency from a remote location. You will be instrumental in optimizing delivery routes, monitoring vehicle performance, and maintaining high standards of service.

- Plan, schedule, and optimize delivery routes for a fleet of vehicles serving the Welkom area using advanced logistics software.
- Monitor vehicle performance, maintenance schedules, and driver activities to ensure operational efficiency and compliance.
- Coordinate with drivers and clients to confirm delivery times, address any logistical challenges, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Manage inventory and ensure the accurate tracking of goods throughout the delivery process.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols for drivers and vehicles, conducting regular remote assessments.
- Analyze delivery data to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, cost reduction, and service quality.
- Proven experience in logistics coordination, fleet management, or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of supply chain operations and delivery management principles.
- Proficiency with logistics management software, GPS tracking systems, and communication tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, especially in a remote operational context.
- Effective communication and leadership abilities to manage a remote team.
- Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record are essential.
