About the Role
Our client is seeking a punctual and reliable Local Delivery Van Driver to join their expanding operations in Bloemfontein . This role is fundamental to our commitment to prompt and secure delivery of goods to our diverse customer base within the city and immediate surrounding areas. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a delivery van, navigating efficiently, and ensuring excellent customer service.
This is a great opportunity for an individual with a strong work ethic and local knowledge to become a key player in our distribution network, contributing to operational success in the heart of the Free State province, Bloemfontein .
- Operate a light commercial delivery van in a safe and responsible manner, following all traffic regulations.
- Plan daily delivery routes to optimize efficiency and ensure all scheduled stops are met within designated time frames.
- Load and unload packages carefully, ensuring items are secured for transport and handled with care.
- Verify delivery addresses and obtain necessary proof of delivery, such as customer signatures.
- Maintain the cleanliness and basic operational readiness of the assigned delivery van.
- Interact professionally and courteously with customers during delivery and pick-up operations.
- Valid driver's license (Code 10 or higher) with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar customer-facing role is advantageous.
- Familiarity with the streets and routes within Bloemfontein and its environs.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and carrying packages.
- Strong time-management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective customer interaction.
