Bus Driver - Intercity Routes

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated and customer-focused Bus Driver to operate intercity routes connecting Bloemfontein with other major centers. Your primary responsibility will be the safe, comfortable, and punctual transportation of passengers. You will ensure adherence to schedules, maintain a professional presence, and provide excellent service to travelers. This role requires a calm demeanor, excellent driving skills, and a commitment to passenger safety and satisfaction.

• Safely operate large passenger buses on scheduled intercity routes, ensuring compliance with traffic laws and company regulations.
• Provide a high level of customer service, assisting passengers with inquiries and ensuring their comfort and safety during the journey.
• Adhere strictly to designated schedules, ensuring timely departures and arrivals.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus, checking safety equipment, fluid levels, and general condition.
• Maintain cleanliness of the bus interior and exterior.
• Report any mechanical issues, incidents, or passenger concerns to management immediately.

• Valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP) for passenger vehicles (Code 10 or 14).
• Minimum of 3 years' experience driving buses, preferably on intercity routes .
• Clean driving record with no serious traffic violations.
• Excellent knowledge of road safety regulations and defensive driving techniques.
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Physically fit and able to perform routine checks and duties.
