About the Role
Our client, a prominent entity in the FMCG sector, is seeking a diligent and experienced Warehouse and Logistics Supervisor to manage their operations in Bloemfontein . This role is essential for ensuring the efficient storage, handling, and dispatch of goods, maintaining inventory accuracy, and overseeing the logistics team. You will be responsible for implementing operational procedures, optimizing warehouse layout, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
This position requires a hands‑on approach to managing daily operations and a commitment to driving efficiency within the supply chain.
- Supervise daily warehouse operations, including receiving, stocking, order picking, packing, and shipping.
- Manage inventory levels, conduct regular stocktakes, and ensure accuracy of inventory records.
- Oversee the dispatch of goods, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries to customers and retail outlets.
- Lead, train, and motivate the warehouse and logistics team to achieve operational targets.
- Implement and enforce health and safety regulations within the warehouse environment.
- Optimize warehouse layout and operational processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- High school diploma or equivalent; further qualification in Logistics or Supply Chain Management is advantageous.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in warehouse or logistics supervision, preferably in the FMCG industry .
- Proven experience in inventory management and order fulfilment processes.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and basic logistics planning.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment based in Bloemfontein .
